Application for membership

The Chiltern Orchid Society was formed in July 1993. Its membership is drawn from all levels of knowledge, from the novice through to the professional and from all ages.
Our principal aim is to inspire the love of orchids and to further their understanding and growing, mindful of their need for conservation.
We believe our Society stands out from the rest by its friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
We meet on the 4th Thursday every month except August (when we have a
Barbeque) and December. Visitors are always welcome !
At each meeting there are Guest Speakers, Orchid Displays, Discussions and Plant Sales. First Aid for Orchids is always available.
Cultural and Habitat information, given by the Speakers and members, is invaluable for successful growing and this is accompanied by superb slides and practical demonstrations.
A Newsletter is sent out monthly to members, reporting on meetings, talks, cultural tips and forthcoming events.
Would you -
• enjoy experts to show you how to grow your orchids to perfection on your windowsill, in your conservatory or greenhouse?
• like to find out more about the natural habitats of these amazing plants
• appreciate the opportunity to purchase plants from our trade members and our world-class speakers ?

Then you need to join The Chiltern Orchid Society
and share these opportunities and more!
